Terms of service
Last updated 2 September 2026.
These terms govern your use of JouleBook ("the Service"), operated from India. By creating an account you agree to them.
The Service
JouleBook reads mining pool payout data and machine telemetry you provide, and produces profit and loss figures per machine, per site and per hosting client.
JouleBook does not control mining hardware. It cannot reboot, curtail, switch a pool, or send any instruction to a machine. This is a design constraint of the Service and not a temporary limitation.
Your account
You are responsible for the credentials on your account and for the activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
Pool API credentials you supply must be read-only. You warrant that you are entitled to supply any credentials or data you add.
Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to access data belonging to another organisation, to attempt to circumvent plan limits or authentication, to probe or load-test the infrastructure without written permission, or to resell access without an agreement.
Fees and payment
Plans and prices are published at /pricing. Fees are charged per site per month, in advance. Prices may change; existing subscribers keep the terms they agreed to and are not repriced without notice and consent.
Failure of a payment does not immediately terminate access. The account enters a grace period, during which it remains fully readable and exportable, before becoming read-only.
Refunds
A first payment is refundable within seven days, without explanation. See the refund policy.
Your data
You retain ownership of everything you put into the Service. You may export it at any time, on any plan, including free and lapsed accounts. We will delete an organisation and its data on request from an account owner.
Accuracy and reliance
The Service produces figures from data you and your pool supply. Where inputs are incomplete, figures are labelled as estimated. JouleBook is not accounting, tax, or investment advice, and figures should be reviewed by a qualified professional before being relied on for filing or for a material financial decision.
Availability
The Service is provided without a contractual uptime guarantee. We will make reasonable efforts to keep it available and to give notice of planned maintenance.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost hashrate, or consequential loss.
Termination
You may close your account at any time; export your data first. We may suspend an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will say why.
Changes and contact
We will give notice of material changes to these terms. Questions: support@joulebook.com.
